Omar

A warrior prince of tanned skin, he carries the Ego of a legendary dragonslayer. He believes that one’s true justice should stand firm before trials and tribulations. Take advice from those who came before you, for they were wiser; but if you truly see the error in their ways, do not hesitate to burn it all down for a brighter tomorrow.

…Or at least that’s what Father says.

The Awakening came at a difficult time for Omar Ikhmul; his father, the man who managed to be a beacon not only to his country but his family as well, was just revealed as a traitor to his own monarchy. Within a night, the Dragon King and all of his associates were nowhere to be found… All except from Omar, who was then hailed as the new True King.

With nary an explanation but a discreetly delivered folder of documents he yet did not dare open, Omar had been left behind: he tried to scrub clean his carefree nature in the weeks leading up to the coronation, torn by doubt, guilt and questions without answers.

He Awoke right on the steps of the throne: in the mass confusion he managed to flee, leaving behind what he assumed to be a country in unhealable turmoil.

Guided by the hero who had chosen him, Omar cut his way into Naluund and took part in the Awakening Wars.

He bears the Ego of Darius, King of the Dragonslayers; while a Dragonslayer himself his time was far different, and History was not as kind to his clan as it was to Omar’s.

Omar's role in the story changes depending on the player's actions in the following way:

• Somnia Route: Omar follows Paige to the end, taking solace in the path laid out for him by her steady, lawful end; after the story is over he returns to his own kingdom, ready to rule after her example.
• Incubia Route: Omar also follows Paige, fully renouncing his title and station and helping her bring about a lawless world; his own kingdom and family are left to fend for themselves in the coming chaos, and their fate is unknown.
• Vera Oniria Route: Omar initially opposes Paige, afraid of what reaching Absolute Truth may entail but is then convinced by Darius and helps her reach her goals. Within the New World Omar's country is shown abolishing monarchy, a process set in motion by Omar himself a couple of generations prior.
• Bloodbath Route: After being "killed" at the start of the game, Omar takes the rest of the adventure to recuperate and hinder Paige as much as possible, before facing you in the throne room as Hegemon.
