Lyx (Scion of the Dream)

A rare winged elf, Lyx was found almost dead in the desert alongside her brother by the Matriarch of the village of the Sphyxes and raised as one of their own.

When she reached adulthood she embarked against her putative mother's wishes on a journey to the Obsidian Court, who threatened the standing of the village, to try and put a stop to their plans.

She managed to sneak in, but was caught and sentenced to execution; luckily, a man named Balthazar sensed her potential for Psionics and Oniric magic and took her as an apprentice: the two travelled much together but Lyx was a slow learner and by the time Balthazar’s life was nearing his end her training had just started bearing some practical fruit.

Thus, when a letter from the Princess herself arrived at the abode where they both lived, she begged her master to allow her to go in his stead, and he, knowing his days were numbered, agreed.

During her journey with the Strongholds Lyx grew into an amazing Psion, while retaining her humanity and soft spot for horrifying monstrosities: not even the truth about who her master truly was, nor the fate of the Sphynxes who had given her so much could ever shake the unending spring of kindness in her heart.

She fights employing the full power of both Mind and Dream, raining down terrifying blasts from the heavens.

Upon defeat she bestows the player with her Tranquil Ink, which allows them to soar high upon the Seer’s Wings and cast her terrifying spells.
